Session 1 May Learn and Share: Community Engagement

This Learn and Share will explore community engagement from both water resources and WASH perspectives. Do you work on community engagement? Is this a new topic for you? All are welcome to come and discuss. Bring your insights and questions to share with others. Our Learn and Share events are interactive and a great way to share your experiences while meeting others and learning from our keynote speakers.

For this session, we are pleased to hear from Tseguereda Abraham and Hélène Masliah Gilkarov .

They will have a 15-minute conversation and then we will all discuss.

As a Governance and Policy Advocacy Expert, Tseguereda Abraham has extensive experience working with communities and WASH, particularly around governance, system strengthening and advocacy strategy development and implementation. She has more than twelve years of leadership experience in different international NGOs such as WaterAid, OXFAM, and CARE.

Hélène Masliah Gilkarov works in transboundary water management, fostering public participation and managing stakeholder relationships, by integrating skills such as strategic communications and social media outreach. In her role with the International Commission for Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR), she is committed to innovating and creatively communicating, ensuring stakeholders are engaged and informed about the protection of the Danube River.
