19:00 UTC May Learn and Share: Intro to WASH

Join us for a chance to Learn and Share about WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) with CWiW members around the world! Many members are interested in learning more about WASH and how it connects to their work on water. Because this event includes a chance to share your professional experiences, this Learn and Share is perfect both for those who are new to WASH and those who work in WASH. Our keynote speaker in each session will offer a short Intro to WASH and then ask some key questions to help us share our insights on WASH in breakouts and as a single group.

We are pleased to have Dr. Sonia Hoque from the University of Oxford as a keynote speaker for this session. 

Dr. Sonia Hoque is an environmental social scientist, currently working as a Senior Research Associate in Water Security and Society for the REACH programme. Her research focuses on the environmental, financial, institutional and social risks to rural water service delivery in Bangladesh, Ethiopia and Kenya, with particular interests in exploring the socio-spatial inequalities in household water use behaviour.
