Navigating Mentor-Mentee Relationships

CWiW, Agenda for Change, and RWSN are pleased to offer a virtual session to chance to hear from mentor/mentee relationships about how the navigated and made the most of their mentorship experience. While the speakers interaction with each other will be recorded, over half the session, which is Q&A, will not be recorded. Please plan to join us live.

The mentors and mentees speaking at this event have previously been paired either through the RWSN Mentorship program or the Agenda for Change Women in WASH mentorship program.

This event will have interpretation in English, Spanish, and French.

Speakers

Mentor Gisela Murrugarra is the Country Director of Water for People in Peru. She is a senior executive with experience in project management and implementation and management of large-scale operations and leading multidisciplinary teams in public, private and international cooperation environments.

Mentee Persis Ramirez is an Environmental Programme Officer for OpenHydro. Originally from the Dominican Republic, she now works in England. Her technical experience includes positions at the International Water Association, the Global Water Partnership and Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic. 

Mentor Elon Sooknanan is a civil engineer with expertise in WASH. He is Head of Public Infrastructure Transportation & Tourism for the Environmental Protection Agency in Guyana. His work portfolio includes working on urban sanitation.

Mentee Tafadzwa Makambanga is a certified humanitarian professional with a degree in Civil and Water Engineering based in Zimbabwe. She is passionate about participating in programs that advance the implementation of SDGs.
