8:00 UTC Confident Communication–Learn and Share

For our February Learn and Share, CWiW is pleased to have Dr. Helen Gavin share insights and facilitate conversations around confident communication. Helen will be speaking about communication styles and differences, with tips to be confident and persuade. She will introduce some aspects and ways to consider others and become assertive. We will break out into small groups to better discuss her two mini-talks: Communication Styles & Differences and Assertive Communication. This is going to be a great event, and we hope you can join us.

About our Speaker

Helen Gavin is passionate about water and sustainability issues and has twenty years of experience in the water and energy sector, in both consultancy (Atkins) and research environments (University of Oxford, and others).  She has covered the roles of project and programme manager, team leader, people manager, auditor, and technical specialist for a range of topics, spanning wetland hydrology, water resources, hydro ecology, renewable energy, and greenhouse gas emissions.  She loves to bring people together to collaborate and make things happen, from lindy hop dancing to repair cafes!
