For this 15:00 UTC session, we are pleased to have Emily Rand and Priyanka Pandey as the keynote speakers.
Emily Rand, PE, MPH, MBA currently leads UNICEF’s WASH program in Zambia. With over 24 years of experience, she’s honed her expertise in the development, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of water, sanitation, hygiene, and public health initiatives across Africa, Asia, the Pacific, and the Americas. Her rich career includes managing UNICEF’s WASH program in Vanuatu and contributing as a Water and sanitation Specialist at the World Bank. She’s not only a professional but an educator and has worked on multi-sectoral emergency and development projects in Lesotho, Sudan, Indonesia, and East Timor.
Priyanka Pandey is a young professional in the sector of Water, Biodiversity, and Climate change. Her research interests have particularly materialized at the intersection of Freshwater and Restoration Ecology, Water Security for Women and Youth, and Water Management across borders. Currently, she is the Communications Coordinator for the Global Youth Biodiversity Network – Nepal chapter and works with the Partnerships Team at Water Youth Network.
