Our February event will reflect on what water justice means and looks like.\n\n\n\nJoin us for 8:00 UTC (9:00 Zurich / 10:00 Lilongwe / 13:00 Karachi / 13:45 Kathmandu / 16:00 Kuala Lumpur)\n\n\n\nFor this 8:00 UTC session, we are pleased to have Simi Kamal, Chairperson and CEO of Hisaar Foundation, as the keynote speaker. \n\n\n\nSimi Kamal is the Chairperson and CEO of Hisaar Foundation, a foundation for water, food and livelihood security, and the Convener of the Think Tank on the Rational Use of Water. She is a Co-founder and Advisor of the Panjwani-Hisaar Water Institute at NED University in Karachi, the Vice-chair of the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and the founding Co-chair of the Steering Committee of the global Every Woman Treaty campaign. She also served for nine years on GWP South Asia TAC and on the global GWP TEC. Her career of four decades spans work on water, climate change, environment, women’s empowerment, social development, poverty alleviation, and grant management in several countries and regions of the world. A substantial portion of her work is at the intersection of women, water and poverty.
